Great read Omer! The critical thinking aka discernment crisis is afoot. The learning, experience, exposure and the ability to work through problems is being lost to AI speed. I heard the IBM CEO talk in doubling down on the market opportunity, and instead of layoffs, they are increasing the talent, to build solutions that were costly and experience to work on. I mention it because he is not winging the AI boom. His discernment is pressing the legacy company to stronger moat.

Thanks, Ruma! The IBM approach makes a lot of sense - we need to lean harder into human talent and not just AI talent, keeping the human at the center of driving value for the enterprise.

The companies laying off are behind the talent, AI and innovation trend. Desperately cutting costs to improve shareholder price. IBM missed several market trends, namely the Watson health entry they were not primed for. Investment in humans is the long game and the economies will learn this the hard way.
