About Me
I’m a Procurement entrepreneur who has spent more than 30 years working with the function, first as a management consultant and then as the founder of The Smart Cube, a procurement intelligence and analytics business I built and scaled over two decades before selling it in 2022.
Through my work, I’ve had a front‑row seat to how Procurement has evolved: the pressures practitioners face, the skills they’ve had to develop, and the constant push to prove value inside complex organizations.
Now, the function is on the brink of its next - and most profound - transformation.
Artificial Intelligence.
Why Proquria Exists
AI will not simply make Procurement more efficient. It will, over time, fundamentally change roles, workflows, and what constitutes “value” for practitioners.
In the past year alone, through conversations with Chief Procurement Officers, category leaders, AI builders, and tech founders, a few things have become clear:
AI will reshape Procurement far more deeply than most teams expect
Many practitioners are unprepared for what this will mean in practice
The skills that made someone successful in the past will not be enough in the future
This raises a simple but critical question:
What does the future look like for the Procurement practitioner in a post‑AI world?
That’s the central question that Proquria is built around.
